Area of Specialty: Somatic Experiencing and Self Compassion. I offer practical tools that are simple, easy to learn, and work to naturally discharge stress, anxiety, and trauma in the mind and body. My goal is to provide a safe space where ALL of you is welcome, and where we can practice self-acceptance, self-compassion, and emotional regulation together. I know how awful it feels to be anxious and depressed - especially when you don't know why it's happening or what to do about it. Together we can begin practicing simple tools to give you some relief, starting in session 1. I offer in person and online sessions.

Area of Specialty: Anyone exploring their differences such as Highly Sensitive People (HSP), neurodivergent people (Autism, ADHD, etc.), parents of high-needs children, or 2SLGBTQIA+ people. Description: I offer neurodiversity-affirming online counselling to anyone wanting to explore their own differences. I believe that safety is paramount to being able to grow, change and heal so I commit to creating an open, relaxed and accepting environment for therapy. In many cases, our systems are not tailored to those whose nervous systems work differently; therapy is no exception and it can be extra challenging to have to overcome the expectations of a counsellor who does not have experience with neurodivergent nervous systems. My extensive lived experience with a variety of nervous system differences, in my own life and those of my friends and family members, allow me to be open, flexible and understanding. Through a combination of nervous system education and an inclusive and accepting exploration of your own needs, challenges and strengths, we can create space for you to become yourself. I offer online sessions.
Area of Specialty: Emerging adulthood, Boundary work, Self-esteem and confidence Relationships with self and others, Attachment wounds, Childhood Trauma, Grief and loss, Co-dependency, Communication Challenges, Life Transitions My approach to counseling is very much about creating self-awareness and connecting these pieces of self to your current struggle, whether that be working through past traumas, navigating difficult life transitions, or simply seeking personal growth. To do this, we will explore many concepts related to the mind-body connection and how trauma can be stored in the body (or nervous system), as well as how the family system and generations of trauma can be passed down to you; all of which could be contributing to the personal challenges you are facing now. In addition to this, I will also draw on other modalities related to Internal Family Systems (parts work), inner child, attachment theory, experiential work, and relational psychology. Together, these approaches can provide different perspectives on how to achieve the same result: empowering you to make the changes you want in your life and helping you step into feeling more like ‘you’ again (or maybe for the first time). I look forward to getting to know you!
